Here is Philip Longo giving the introduction to the conference:
We are working on getting the rest of the videos up as soon as we can.
Thanks to all our wonderful participants and guests for Saturday’s conference. It was a lively and productive day. Videos of the panels and the plenary will be up shortly. In the meantime, feel free to continue the conversation in the comments section.
Derek Woods’ “What is a Lichen?: Species, Symbiosis, Reduction” has been moved to Panel 3.
Marianne DeKoven will not be giving her talk “Life or Lives: The Question of ‘Actually Existing Animals’.” She is ill and cannot attend attend today.
The conference is underway in the Plangere Center in Murray Hall. Stay tuned for updates.
We are video recording the conference and expect to have video available early next week.
If you plan on being in New Brunswick on Friday night, please join us for pre-conference drinks at Doll’s Place in downtown New Brunswick at 8pm. It will be a great chance to meet fellow attendees and panelists. Hope to see you there!
Doll’s Place is at 101 Paterson Street (on the corner of Joyce Kilmer Avenue).
